Dr. Scott Spaulding is the President and CEO of Badger Veterinary Hospital in southern Wisconsin. He joined the practice in 1992 as a large animal veterinarian after completing his education at the University of Wisconsin-Madison. Badger Veterinary Hospital has grown to a three-location mixed animal practice.

Additionally, Dr. Spaulding is founder and president of MAVANA, Inc., a national group of over 30 mixed animal, equine, and companion animal practices, employing over 230 veterinarians. Early in his career, Scott was a consulting veterinarian for Steffen-Haus Kennel, a German Shepherd breeding and training facility in the United States and Germany. Traveling to and from multiple destinations in Europe was part of his business.

With nearly 30 years of experience and dedication to the profession, Dr. Spaulding prides himself in advocating for and representing the constantly evolving industry with numerous veterinary professional organizations. From his career’s beginning, he’s been actively involved in local and national organizations, including the American Veterinary Medical Association, Wisconsin Veterinary Medical Association, and American Association of Equine Practitioners, recently serving as president of the Wisconsin VMA and on the AVMA Veterinary Economics Strategy Committee. His commitment to family, community, and business drives him to make a difference in the organizations he serves.

Dr. Spaulding and spouse Nancy reside in Fernandina Beach, Florida and make frequent trips to Wisconsin. He travels extensively and balances time with family, German Shepherd Dogs, Morgan and American Saddlebred horses. He truly believes life is an adventure to be lived to the fullest!
