Equine Ambulatory Associate
Equine General Practitioner / Associate position with a 6 doctor practice with minimal emergency on-call duties. We have a referral hospital as well as a general practice, so although you will have autonomy in the field, there is also significant mentoring and back up from specialists and other seasoned general practitioners when requested/needed. Mentoring is a large part of our culture and not only will the new team member be mentored, but you will also be expected to mentor our junior associates (interns) as well as veterinary student externs. Emergency on-call time is limited as the practice is transitioning to 100% hospital haul in emergency service.
Our new team member will be provided with a dedicated practice vehicle, DR, US, dental float and all other tools required to excel at your craft. You will have a dedicated veterinary assistant. You will be inheriting a full caseload of clients from a beloved Brandon Equine Associate that is moving across the country with her husband as he pursues a veterinary radiology residency. The clientele associated with this portion of our practice ranges from elite level athletes to back yard family members.

Brandon Equine Medical Center Internship
We are currently seeking intern veterinarians for the 2018-2019 year. The goal of our heavily-mentored program is to allow our interns to build a strong foundation in equine medicine and surgery in order to develop into a confident equine practitioner. Minimum qualifications include graduation from an AVMA-accredited College of Veterinary Medicine, passing the North American Veterinary Licensing Examination, and a Florida veterinary license. Our practice, located in the northern suburbs of Chicago, is searching for a motivated, enthusiastic full-time certified veterinary technicians who have a strong passion for equine medicine. Our state-of-the-art practice offers both ambulatory and haul-in capabilities with a full-service hospital facility boasting surgical facility, nuclear scintigraphy, video endoscopy, in-house lab capabilities and more. The Northwest Veterinary Group is looking for an enthusiastic, dedicated, and collaborative veterinarian to join our equine team. Our leadership team is young and vibrant which is why we have experienced phenomenal growth in the equine department the past two years. This position is primarily ambulatory and comes with a veterinary assistant and a fully stocked pickup with vet insert. Desired interest and skills include lameness, internal medicine, repro, dentistry, regenerative medicine, field surgery, communication and community outreach. We encourage all of our veterinarians to develop and expand their current skill set in order to enable us to expand our services even further. Acupuncture and chiropractic are examples of areas into which we are expanding. Our patients range from high level sport horses to miniatures, western performance to back yard pets and award winning vaulting draft horses to weekend warriors.
The area is ideal for outdoor enthusiasts as we are close to the water – salt water and fresh water, the mountains and the beautiful Skagit Valley and San Juan Islands. It is green year around here in the Pacific Northwest. And if the lights of the big city and its cultural activities are what you are interested in, Seattle is only an hour away.
Salary includes a base salary and production bonus compensation. ER fees are also included in the package. We have an extensive complement of diagnostic equipment available which includes digital x-ray (fixed and 3 portable units) , 2 GE digital ultrasounds, endoscopy (including a 3 meter gastroscope), Powerfloat dental equipment, in house Abaxis lab equipment, serum amyloid A, and twice daily pickups for Antech reference lab. Recently we incorporated ProStride in our practice as we expand our regenerative medicine capabilities. In addition we have a full surgical suite and an 8 stall hospital facility with outdoor pens and fenced lungeing area. For more extensive procedures including MRI and colic surgeries we have a large referral hospital less than an hour away. You will also have the support and collaboration of 4 experienced equine veterinarians in our group.

Pacific Crest Equine is looking for a surgeon with an interest in sports medicine to join our team. We are a progressive practice dedicated to excellence in both veterinary medicine and client care. We are looking for an individual who can utilize our modern facilities and diagnostic capabilities to serve our growing sport horse population.
Our facilities consist of a surgical suite, two exam and treatment rooms, 4-stall indoor intensive care unit, 13 stall barn, individual stallion stalls and collection facilities, as well as lameness evaluation area and round pen. On-site diagnostic and treatment capabilities include digital radiography, ultrasound, gastroscopy, lameness locator, full in-house laboratory, and regenerative medicine. We have two fully equipped mobile units to facilitate our ambulatory care.
The successful candidate will be board certified in equine surgery, with an interest in sports medicine, be dedicated and self-motivated, and have a desire to grow a loyal clientele.
